About the role#
The International Veterinary Health (IVH) team works with governments and agencies globally to control transboundary and emerging diseases. This internship lasts 10 to 12 weeks and offers exposure to the pharmaceutical industry, public-private partnerships, and the political drivers behind disease control. You will join team meetings and contribute to projects that support national vaccination campaigns and disease surveillance.
What you'll do#
- Participate in team meetings and planning sessions.
- Develop disease communication materials and technical bulletins for governments.
- Plan social media programs and public awareness campaigns.
- Conduct disease and market analysis along with global policy reviews.
- Develop customer management systems and provide logistics support for vaccine deliveries.
- Incorporate technology and data management into health solutions.
- Gain insights into the role of the pharmaceutical industry in improving human and animal lives.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Master of Public Health or Veterinary Public Health program.
- An interest in animal health and veterinary public health.
- Excellent writing, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to adapt to changing environments.
- High ethical standards and a professional demeanor.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid internship based in Rahway, New Jersey.
- The work modality is hybrid.
- This position does not offer visa sponsorship.
- International travel may be required for team meetings or conferences.
