About the role#
The Future Talent Program offers 10 to 12-week internships at our Durham site during the summer of 2027. You will join one of several functional areas including Technical Operations, Quality, Operations/Supply Chain Management, Automation, or Environmental Health and Safety (EHS). Interns complete one or more projects to develop technical and professional skills while gaining insight into our manufacturing processes.
What you'll do#
- Develop, optimize, and implement manufacturing technologies and analytical methods.
- Use process modeling, statistical, and data science tools to analyze process information.
- Support process technology development, transfer, and sitewide quality systems.
- Participate in cross-functional teams, department projects, and real-time troubleshooting.
- Author or update GMP and technical documentation.
- Support the design and implementation of process automation and control systems.
- Analyze process performance using automated equipment data.
- Assist with sitewide environmental, health, and safety programs, including risk assessments and safety walkthroughs.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or Engineering (Computer, Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, or Biomedical).
- Minimum of one year of undergraduate work completed.
- Expected graduation date between Fall 2027 and Spring 2029 (students graduating in Spring 2027 must be entering a graduate program).
- Minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Experience in computer programming, modeling, data science, or data analytics.
- Ability to work independently and within teams.
- Strong problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills.
- Previous experience in process development, research, or manufacturing is preferred.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
