About the role#
This internship is based in our Decatur, Illinois manufacturing plant. You will join the team for the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, paid position. We are looking for students to support our operations and strategic initiatives at a facility that has been in operation since 1857.
What you'll do#
- Support plant and divisional strategic projects.
- Perform 3D-modeling of shell cutters and accessories using SolidWorks.
- Analyze material and information flow, including the layout of racking and space requirements.
- Monitor and evaluate how we use raw materials.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a 4-year university pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Material Science, or Electrical Engineering.
- A major GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Basic proficiency in ProE, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and MS Office Standard.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment, including sitting, standing, twisting, turning, and climbing stairs.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
