About the role#
The Loan Boarding & Data Integration team acts as the technical bridge between mortgage origination and servicing. We support the systems and data that help new mortgage products move through the member lifecycle. This 12-week program runs from May 2027 through August 2027. You will work on projects that improve efficiency, reporting, and visibility into business outcomes for Real Estate Lending.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, analysts, and technology teams to identify reporting and visualization needs.
- Gather, analyze, and interpret operational data from multiple systems.
- Design and develop interactive dashboards, scorecards, and reports using Power BI and similar tools.
- Apply data visualization best practices to communicate trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Perform data validation to ensure reporting accuracy.
- Translate complex datasets into executive-ready presentations and actionable insights.
- Support the development of key performance indicators and operational metrics.
- Document reporting requirements, data definitions, and methodologies.
- Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, team meetings, and project planning.
- Identify opportunities to improve reporting through automation and standardization.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Finance, or a related field.
- Graduation date of December 2027 or later.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools.
- Familiarity with data visualization concepts and dashboard design.
- Basic knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to communicate technical findings to non-technical audiences.
- Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or other business intelligence platforms is preferred.
- Experience with SQL, Python, R, or related analytical tools is a plus.
- Familiarity with financial services, lending, mortgage operations, or banking concepts is helpful.
- Exposure to Agile methodologies and tools like Azure DevOps is beneficial.

- This is a full-time, on-site internship.
- Locations: Vienna, Virginia or Pensacola, Florida.
- Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM ET.
