About the role#
The Enterprise Data Risk Governance (EDRG) team provides independent oversight of data risk across the organization. This 12-week summer internship offers practical experience in developing data governance frameworks, monitoring risk, and supporting the implementation of governance requirements. You will work on a focused project while contributing to the team's day-to-day operations.
What you'll do#
- Research emerging data risks, regulatory developments, and industry practices.
- Support reviews of business unit practices regarding data quality, metadata management, and data ownership.
- Analyze documentation, risk assessments, and controls to identify gaps or trends.
- Document observations and recommendations to assist with EDRG oversight activities.
- Monitor enterprise data risks, remediation activities, and performance indicators.
- Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and metrics to track governance progress.
- Prepare summaries and presentations for leadership and various stakeholders.
- Collaborate with team members on risk assessments and governance initiatives.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Data Management, Information Systems, Business Analytics, Risk Management, Computer Science, Finance, or a related field.
- Graduation date of December 2027 or later.
- Interest in data governance, data quality, metadata management, or enterprise risk management.
- Experience with research, analysis, and organizing information from multiple sources.
- Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and communication skills.
- Ability to explain technical information to diverse audiences.
- Familiarity with Excel, Power BI, Tableau, SQL, or Python is preferred.
- Ability to manage priorities while working independently or in a team.
