About the role#
The Financial Risk Oversight (FRO) team provides independent challenges to first-line activities and supports financial risk management across the enterprise. As a Summer Associate, you will join a 12-week program focused on impactful projects within interest rate, market, and liquidity risk, among other areas. This internship runs from May 2027 through August 2027.
What you'll do#
- Complete an end-to-end analysis on how loan originations respond to different rate environments.
- Socialize findings with first-line financial risk teams.
- Assess the feasibility, timeline, and impact of integrating loan sensitivities into the Net Interest Income (NII) sensitivity framework.
- Research and develop specialized risk assessment scopes.
- Gather, synthesize, and organize financial data.
- Present conclusions and risk mitigation solutions to management.
- Help administer risk assessment and testing lifecycles for business processes and policies.
- Support team projects and adhere to Bank Secrecy Act regulations.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited college or university with an anticipated graduation date of December 2027 or later.
- Pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Commerce, or Data Science/Engineering.
- Familiarity with SQL and data visualization software like Power BI or Tableau.
- A working knowledge of finance and banking concepts.
- Familiarity with project management skills.

- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM ET.
- This is a paid, full-time internship.
