About the role#
The Records and Information Management Technology team supports the systems that maintain enterprise records. As a Summer Associate, you will work alongside engineers and analysts to support data integration, system testing, and operational readiness for the Records Management System. This 12-week program offers hands-on experience with enterprise technology environments and project delivery practices. You will contribute to project goals while gaining exposure to Agile workflows.
What you'll do#
- Support the Records Management System project team with data ingestion, testing, validation, and operational tasks.
- Assist with troubleshooting data transfers, system configurations, and integration processes.
- Review system outputs and logs to identify issues and assist in resolution.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, process guides, and operational procedures.
- Participate in Agile team ceremonies, planning sessions, and project meetings.
- Collaborate with engineers, analysts, and technology partners on assigned tasks.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Data Engineering, or a related field.
- Anticipated graduation date of December 2027 or later.
- Familiarity with Windows operating systems.
- Basic understanding of networking concepts and secure file transfer methods.
- Exposure to Agile development practices.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to learn new technologies quickly and work in a team.
- Exposure to cloud platforms like Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
- Experience with SQL Server, Oracle, or other relational databases.
- Familiarity with Linux, scripting languages like Python or PowerShell, and technologies such as SSH, SFTP, or RDP.
- Familiarity with REST APIs and identity and access management concepts like Entra ID, SAML, or ADFS.
- Previous technical support, internship, or academic project experience.

- Term: Summer 2027 (May through August).
- Modality: On-site.
- Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM.
- Locations: Vienna, VA; Pensacola, FL; or Winchester, VA.
