    About the role#

    This 10-week summer internship provides hands-on experience in insurance underwriting within the Group Benefit Solutions division. You will learn how to evaluate risk, assess potential customers, and develop pricing recommendations for group insurance solutions. This program focuses on building a foundation in underwriting through formal training, mentorship, and real-world assignments.

    What you'll do#

    • Participate in structured training sessions on underwriting principles and products.
    • Partner with an experienced underwriter through one-on-one mentorship.
    • Analyze real underwriting cases by assessing risk factors and contributing to pricing decisions.
    • Collaborate with fellow interns on a summer-long project to build analytical and teamwork skills.
    • Attend speaker sessions and learning events across various business functions to broaden your organizational knowledge.

    What you'll need#

    • Rising senior status pursuing a bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
    • Strong analytical, quantitative, and critical thinking skills.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically Microsoft Excel and Word.
    • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
    • Authorization to work in the U.S. without employment-based sponsorship.

    • Location: Farmington, Connecticut.
    • Term: Summer 2027.
    • Work Modality: Hybrid (3 days per week in the office).
    • Compensation: Paid at $21 per hour.
