About the role#
Newman University is hiring students to join the University Relations team. You will help identify content and design opportunities while managing projects across print, web, and digital platforms. This role involves promoting the university message and image to various audiences through clear and concise storytelling.
What you'll do#
- Assist the Digital Content Specialist with messaging and engagement on official social media accounts.
- Support the Senior Graphic Designer with creative projects.
- Research and create copy, photos, videos, and graphics that align with the university marketing plan.
- Review your work performance regularly with University Relations staff.
- Collaborate with internal and external constituents as needed.
What you'll need#
- You must be a current full-time Newman University student.
- Pursue a degree in Communications, Journalism, English, or a related field.
- Ability to work on both Mac and PC platforms.
- Strong writing and public speaking skills.
- You must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and work well in a team.
Location & details#
- Location: Wichita, Kansas.
- Modality: On-site.
- Term: Rolling.
- Hours: 10 to 20 hours per week, Monday through Friday between 8am and 5pm, with occasional evenings and weekends.
- Pay: $8.25 per hour.
