About the role#
Nexteer Automotive offers students the chance to apply classroom learning to professional projects. You will work alongside engineers to support the development of driveline and steering systems. This role covers the full project lifecycle, from initial requirements and design to testing and production implementation.
What you'll do#
- Assist engineers with project activities including testing, analysis, and documentation.
- Gather, process, and review data to support engineering teams.
- Create presentations to communicate test findings.
- Support technology development and process improvement activities.
- Coordinate tasks with vendors and internal customers.
- Communicate project status and relevant issues on a regular basis.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical, Computer, or Industrial Engineering.
- Minimum cumulative 2.7 GPA on a 4.0 scale.
- Status as a full-time student (minimum 12 credits) during Fall and Winter semesters.
- Technical knowledge of mechanical principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work 20-32 hours per week during Fall and Winter semesters, and up to 40 hours in the summer.
- Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
