About the role#
We are looking for an intern to join our technical support team for the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, paid internship based on-site in either Lake St. Louis, Missouri, or Mandan, North Dakota. You will work directly with our software systems and support our members through various technical challenges.
What you'll do#
- Troubleshoot and resolve Windows desktop operating system issues.
- Join PCs to Windows domains and install NISC software on customer machines.
- Remove viruses and spyware.
- Use remote connectivity tools like Remote Desktop to assist users.
- Create and test printers on Windows and Linux servers.
- Provide phone support to customers within an ACD environment.
- Monitor Windows and Linux servers using Xymon tools.
- Log support issues and develop action plans based on monitoring data.
What you'll need#
- You must have a high school diploma or equivalency.
- You should be pursuing an Associate or Bachelor degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field.
- A general understanding of Windows desktop operating systems, Linux and Windows servers, and TCP/IP networks through related coursework.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to explain technical solutions to all users.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
