About the role#
Northmarq is hiring a Communications and Public Relations Intern for our Corporate Communications department in Minneapolis. This is a full-time, paid summer 2027 internship. You will work directly with our team to gain experience in business writing, corporate communications, and public relations. You will receive mentorship from professionals while helping shape our brand voice.
What you'll do#
- Create internal and external communications for stakeholders, including clients, employees, and industry professionals.
- Write content for our intranet, press releases, social media, and professional biographies.
- Provide support for summer corporate events and special projects.
- Shadow team members in marketing and public relations to assist with stretch assignments.
- Analyze media coverage and track communications metrics.
- Apply AP Style Guide and corporate writing standards to your work.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, English, or Marketing.
- Expected graduation date between December 2027 and Spring 2028.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work, and meet deadlines.
- Self-directed approach and motivation to take initiative.
- Experience with Drupal or other content management systems is a plus.
- Skills in photography or multimedia production are preferred.

- This position is located on-site in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
- This is a paid, full-time internship for Summer 2027.
- Compensation is $22.00 per hour.
- You must have unrestricted authorization to work in the United States, as we do not provide immigration sponsorship.
