About the role#
Northmarq is hiring a Software Engineering Intern to join our Information Technology department for the Summer 2027 term. You will work within a scrum team in a collaborative environment that focuses on software design, best practices, and application performance. This is a full-time, paid position based out of our headquarters.
What you'll do#
- Design and develop test automation suites for various applications.
- Evaluate automation execution runs and maintain test cases based on results.
- Develop, troubleshoot, and debug software programs for web services, databases, applications, and tools.
- Collaborate with team members on code reviews, internal tools, and process improvements.
- Create and maintain documentation for software, processes, and procedures.
- Complete a dedicated summer intern project involving software development.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing an Associate or Bachelor degree in computer science, computer engineering, information technology, or management information systems.
- Experience in object-oriented programming such as C#, Java, or C++.
- Familiarity with web technologies including JavaScript, HTML, and ReactJS.
- Understanding of programming and database concepts.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks.
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
Location & details#
- Location: Minneapolis, Minnesota (On-site).
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week.
- Sponsorship: This position does not provide immigration sponsorship. Candidates must have unrestricted authorization to work in the U.S.
