About the role#
Northmarq is hiring two Portfolio and Asset Management Interns for our Dallas office. This ten-week summer program provides hands-on experience in commercial real estate. You will work with our teams to manage lending requirements, track deadlines, and support financial analysis. We provide ongoing training to help you build expertise in the field.
What you'll do#
- Plan and schedule your own workload to meet project benchmarks.
- Review and process loan escrow disbursement requests.
- Support Asset and Portfolio Managers with consent requests like loan payoffs, lease approvals, and repair extensions.
- Assess commercial property inspections provided by regional offices and third-party vendors.
- Collaborate with customers to resolve outstanding maintenance issues.
- Participate in a Summer Intern Team Project and present your findings to Senior Management.
- Attend weekly mentor and networking meetings.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Real Estate, or Accounting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Clear oral and written communication abilities.
- Prior office or internship experience is preferred.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks with attention to detail.
