About the role#
Northrop Grumman is seeking an Engineering Intern to join the Command and Control & Weapons Integration Division. This role is based in Huntsville, Alabama, and supports the development of systems within the defense and space manufacturing industry.
What you'll do#
- Perform technical planning, system integration, verification, and validation.
- Conduct cost, risk, supportability, and effectiveness analyses.
- Analyze systems across the entire product lifecycle, including concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance, and disposal.
- Convert requirements into total systems solutions while managing technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
- Execute functional and timeline analyses, trade studies, requirements allocation, and interface definition studies.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment as a full-time student in an undergraduate or graduate program at an accredited college or university, with plans to remain enrolled in Fall 2027.
- A major in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity, Mechanical Engineering, or a related STEM field.
- Availability to work full-time (40 hours per week) for at least 10 weeks during the summer of 2027.
- U.S. citizenship, which is a requirement for obtaining a U.S. Government security clearance.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 or higher.
- A current active Secret Security Clearance or higher.
