About the role#
The Public Investments Quantitative Analyst Intern will join the Quantitative Research and Analytics team for the summer of 2027. You will work within a department that manages over 130 billion dollars in fixed income assets. This role involves building tools and conducting analyses to support investment processes including portfolio construction, risk measurement, and trading.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with data engineers to onboard new data sources and ensure data integrity.
- Create dashboards and applications using Tableau and Streamlit to communicate model outputs.
- Develop predictive models using machine learning and AI techniques.
- Apply quantitative methods such as Monte Carlo simulation and portfolio optimization.
- Work with Portfolio Managers, Traders, and Credit Analysts to identify investment opportunities.
What you'll need#
- Progress towards a Bachelor degree in a quantitative field such as Finance, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, or Statistics.
- Strong development skills in SQL, Python, Streamlit, and dbt.
- Proficiency in data manipulation and visualization.
- Experience with software development practices like version control and CI/CD pipelines is preferred.
- Familiarity with Bloomberg and BlackRock Aladdin is a plus.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, on-site internship based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
- The program runs from June 2027 to August 2027.
- This position is paid, with a salary range of 16.50 to 30.00 dollars per hour depending on academic tenure and major.
