About the role#
Nox Group is hiring Field Engineer Interns to support construction projects and field teams. This 12-week program offers exposure to project management through rotations in areas such as Preconstruction, Estimating, Industrial, and Manufacturing. You will work alongside Project Managers and Project Engineers to support the full life cycle of active construction projects.
What you'll do#
- Coordinate with Project Engineers and Field Superintendents to support daily operations.
- Perform survey and layout work to ensure accurate material and equipment placement.
- Participate in quality control programs and conduct site inspections.
- Attend daily and weekly project meetings to coordinate activities.
- Manage project documents including drawings, specifications, submittals, and RFIs.
- Report field issues to leadership to assist with problem resolution.
- Track and report weekly quantities of installed materials.
- Manage on-site equipment and material storage.
- Maintain record drawings, as-builts, and permit documents.
- Capture weekly project progress photos.
- Build rapport with owners, clients, and trade partners.
- Assist with training and mentoring tasks.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a four-year Construction Management or Engineering program.
- Ability to assume responsibility and communicate effectively with team members.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- A positive and teachable attitude.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 pounds, walking, standing, bending, and climbing.
