About the role#
Nox Group is hiring Field Engineer Interns for a 12-week program in Harlingen, Texas. This position offers exposure to construction and project management by allowing you to apply classroom knowledge to active projects. Interns may rotate through areas like preconstruction, estimating, industrial, and manufacturing work. You will work alongside tenured project managers and engineers to support the full life cycle of construction projects.
What you'll do#
- Coordinate with project engineers and field superintendents to support daily operations.
- Perform surveying and layout work to ensure accurate installations.
- Conduct inspections to support quality control programs.
- Participate in daily and weekly project meetings.
- Manage project documents, including drawings, specifications, submittals, RFIs, and shop drawings.
- Report field issues to leadership to help resolve problems.
- Track and report weekly quantities of installed materials and equipment.
- Manage on-site storage and maintenance for equipment and materials.
- Maintain accurate record drawings and as-builts.
- Handle permit documentation such as dust control and SWPPP records.
- Document project progress through weekly photos.
- Build professional relationships with owners, clients, and trade partners.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a four-year Construction Management, Civil, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering program.
- Ability to communicate effectively and assume responsibility for tasks.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- A positive and teachable attitude.
- Ability to meet physical requirements, including lifting up to 50 pounds and performing tasks like walking, standing, bending, and climbing.

- This is an on-site, full-time, paid internship.
