About the role#
Nox Group is hiring Field Engineer Interns for a 12-week program. You will work alongside project managers and engineers to support construction projects. This role involves rotating through areas such as preconstruction, estimating, industrial, and manufacturing work. You will gain direct experience in project management and construction operations.
What you'll do#
- Coordinate with project engineers and field superintendents to support daily operations.
- Perform survey and layout work to guide material and equipment placement.
- Conduct inspections and participate in quality control programs.
- Attend project meetings to track progress and discuss issues.
- Manage project documents including drawings, specifications, submittals, and RFIs.
- Track material quantities and manage on-site equipment and materials.
- Maintain record drawings, as-builts, and permit documentation.
- Document project development through weekly progress photos.
- Build relationships with stakeholders, owners, and trade partners.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a four-year Construction Management, Civil, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering program.
- Ability to take ownership of tasks and communicate effectively with team members.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite.
- A positive and teachable attitude.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 pounds, walking, standing, and climbing.
