About the role#
As a Design Engineer Intern, you will support the daily responsibilities of a full-time design engineer. You will assist the Engineering Department with production projects while gaining hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment. This role requires a commitment to safety and an interest in structural engineering.
What you'll do#
- Determine building loads and trace load paths through various structures.
- Use proprietary design software to complete project tasks.
- Collaborate with experienced professionals to develop structurally sound components.
- Work with cross-functional teams to fabricate products for customers.
What you'll need#
- High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma.
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or Architectural Engineering from an ABET accredited school.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Training or experience in statics, structural analysis, or steel design.
