    About the role#

    NXP is looking for a FAB Device Engineer Intern to join the Technology and Operations team for the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Austin, Texas. You will contribute to projects focused on integration development and optimization to support high-quality semiconductor manufacturing.

    What you'll do#

    • Improve functional yield through wafer probe analysis.
    • Maintain and improve parametric process control.
    • Develop integration changes to reduce costs or improve device functionality.
    • Solve technical problems by using electrical testing, physical analyses, and statistical data analysis.
    • Work both independently and within a team-based project environment.

    What you'll need#

    • You are currently working toward a degree in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related technical field.
    • You must be returning to school or graduating at the conclusion of the internship term.
    • Classroom or lab familiarity with device parametric extraction, discrete device operation (MOS, BJT), and microfabrication concepts.
    • Knowledge of statistical analysis, control concepts, and materials metrology techniques.
    • Previous research or industrial experience applying Solid State Physics or Electronic Materials principles is preferred.
    • Experience with JMP, PROMIS, SQL, LabView, or bench probe characterization is a plus.

    • Location: Austin, Texas (Ed Bluestein office).
    • Term: Summer 2027.
    • This is a paid, full-time internship.
