About the role#
The TLI Student Assistant provides peer-based support for educational technologies at Okanagan College. You will work under the supervision of the Educational Technology Coordinator, Teaching and Learning Advisor, or Librarian to help students and educators navigate digital learning systems. This role focuses on enhancing engagement and supporting the Teaching and Learning Innovations Portfolio with various programming and platform activities.
What you'll do#
- Provide one-to-one and small group support to peers and educators regarding educational technology platforms.
- Assist with onboarding students and educators to new systems.
- Support educational and digital platform migration activities.
- Maintain accurate statistics and records related to service and space usage.
- Flag areas for improvement and resolve minor technical issues.
- Participate in college-wide TLI events, including workshops and professional development days.
- Refer students and educators to appropriate college resources when further help is needed.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a post-secondary program at Okanagan College, with a preference for Computer Science students.
- Proficiency in Learning Management Systems and other educational technologies.
- Strong technical aptitude across a variety of computer software applications.
- Prior work or volunteer experience.
- Ability to communicate effectively in both individual and group settings.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Commitment to maintaining privacy and confidentiality.

- Term: Fall 2026 (September 08, 2026, to December 18, 2026).
