About the role#
Okanagan College is hiring a student assistant to support the Recruitment department and Campus Administration at the Salmon Arm campus. This role involves direct interaction with students and community members to support campus events and recruitment activities. The position is paid and runs from August 17, 2026, through December 31, 2026.
What you'll do#
- Assist with event set-up for campus information nights, career fairs, and student life events.
- Lead general campus tours for prospective students and visitors.
- Greet attendees at recruitment events and provide assistance at check-in stations.
- Staff information booths for current students.
- Provide general administrative support as needed.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a post-secondary program at Okanagan College.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in various computer software applications.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Prior work experience is considered an asset.
