About the role#
As a Civil Engineering intern on the Traffic & Technology team, you will perform hands-on work that connects your classroom learning to real-world engineering projects. You will contribute to traffic management and signal systems while gaining experience in design and field operations.
What you'll do#
- Use CAD software to create design plans for signals, roundabouts, pavement markings, and signing.
- Develop temporary traffic control plans.
- Assist with traffic operations, signal timings, and safety or pedestrian circulation studies.
- Participate in field observations at active project sites.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a civil engineering degree program.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Attention to detail and an ability to work well within a team.
Location & details#
- Location: Denver, Colorado.
- This is an on-site, paid, full-time internship with a rolling start date.
