About the role#
As a summer 2027 engineering intern with the Water Resources team, you will contribute to real-world projects involving stormwater and flood control management. You will work alongside engineers to support floodplain management, scour control, and erosion control efforts. This position provides hands-on experience in planning, design, and construction phase services.
What you'll do#
- Perform hydrologic and hydraulic analysis for stormwater and flood control projects.
- Provide project design support using AutoCAD and GIS/ArcMap.
- Assist with technical analysis and the preparation of construction documents.
- Conduct research and write technical reports.
- Travel to job sites for field observation.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor's degree program for civil or environmental engineering.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and decision-making skills.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD and GIS is preferred.
- Ability to work collaboratively and contribute to a team environment.
Location & details#
- This is a paid, full-time internship for Summer 2027.
- The role is based on-site in either Denver, CO or Loveland, CO.
