About the role#
The Project Management Intern works with the Project Management and Preconstruction teams. This role provides an opportunity to build industry knowledge and gain experience in construction and engineering projects. You will support various project phases while developing your professional skills.
What you'll do#
- Assist with planning, organizing, and staffing electrical and specialty systems projects.
- Visit jobsites to interact with crew members, customers, foremen, and general contractors.
- Review outgoing estimates with the Estimating Department to check for accuracy.
- Coordinate with vendors to secure materials for construction projects.
- Attend weekly and monthly meetings, including staffing, project management, and sales meetings.
- Process miscellaneous paperwork.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited institution while working toward a Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management or Electrical Engineering.
- Proficiency with a PC and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of Accubid and AutoCAD is preferred.
Location & details#
- Locations: Madison, Wisconsin and Pewaukee, Wisconsin.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, between 7 AM and 5 PM.
- Travel: 15-20% travel required.
- Employment type: Part-time, on-site, and paid.
- Note: Employment is contingent upon passing a background check and drug test.
