About the role#
This summer internship offers an opportunity to gain experience in construction management and electrical systems. You will work alongside the project management and preconstruction teams to support ongoing projects. This is a full-time, paid position based in Arizona.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the planning, organizing, and staffing of electrical and specialty systems construction projects.
- Visit various jobsites and interact with crews, customers, foremen, and general contractors.
- Review assigned portions of outgoing estimates with the Estimating Department.
- Contact vendors to secure materials for construction projects.
- Attend weekly and monthly meetings, including staffing and project management sessions.
- Process miscellaneous paperwork as needed.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited institution working toward a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Electrical Engineering.
- Proficiency with a PC and the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of Accubid and AutoCAD is preferred.
- Ability to travel 15-20% of the time.
- Availability to work between 7 AM and 5 PM, Monday through Friday.
Location & details#
- This position is based on-site in Phoenix, Glendale, Mesa, Goodyear, Peonia, or Chandler, Arizona.
- The internship takes place during the Summer 2027 term.
- Employment is contingent upon passing a background check and drug test.
