About the role#
As a Structural Engineering Intern on the Rail Bridge team, you will work alongside experienced engineers on real-world projects. This role involves hands-on work with railroad bridges and their supporting structures. You will gain experience that connects your academic studies to professional practice.
What you'll do#
- Contribute to projects involving railroad bridges and supporting structures.
- Perform basic project design using CAD drafting.
- Conduct research to support ongoing engineering projects.
- Travel to job sites for observation as needed.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in civil or architectural engineering with a structural emphasis.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD or MicroStation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Strong attention to detail and a collaborative approach to teamwork.

- This position is based in Omaha, Nebraska.
- The role is on-site and full-time.
- This is a paid internship with a rolling term.
