About the role#
The Moderate Writer Intern supports our mission by producing nonpartisan news, opinions, and policy solutions. You will work within the Core Content Department to create high-quality OpEds and policy proposals for our website. While you are responsible for your own content, the process involves collaboration with a team of core writers. You must ensure that our commitment to nonpartisanship, ideological diversity, and civil debate remains clear in everything you publish.
What you'll do#
- Write consistent content for our website alongside the core content team.
- Maintain our standards for nonpartisanship and civil debate in all published work.
- Participate in podcasts, events, and other tasks as needed.
- Attend weekly editorial meetings and all-hands meetings.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Political Science, Journalism, English, Public Policy, Media Studies, International Relations, or a related field.
- Exceptional writing skills in English.
- Ability to work remotely and manage your own schedule to meet deadlines.
- Authorization to intern in the U.S.
- Experience in policy research, political commentary, or political science is preferred.
- Proficiency with Google Workspace is helpful.
- You must submit a writing sample with your application.
