About the role#
We are looking for an IS Intern to join our team at the DeRidder paper mill. This role supports our local IT operations and provides hands-on experience with hardware and network systems. You will work on-site at our facility.
What you'll do#
- Provide basic end-user support for hardware, software, printers, and mobile devices.
- Build and deploy computers, including setting up new machines and clearing data from used equipment.
- Document network infrastructure by labeling physical taps and creating system drawings.
- Track and inventory IT equipment.
- Document technical issues and their solutions.
- Remove malicious software from workstations.
- Lift and transport equipment of various weights.
What you'll need#
- Completion of your freshman year of college.
- Enrollment in a 4-year Computer Science degree program.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
- Preference is given to students entering their Junior or Senior year.
Location & details#
- Location: DeRidder, Louisiana.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Schedule: Full-time.
- Compensation: $30.00 per hour for Seniors, $29.00 per hour for Juniors, and $27.00 per hour for Sophomores.
- Benefits: Paid holidays, 401k plan with employer matching, and eligibility for medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance.
