About the role#
Packaging Corporation of America is seeking an Electrical Engineering Co-Op or Intern to join our team. Depending on mill needs, you may work in electrical reliability, electrical project engineering, or process control engineering. This is a paid, full-time, on-site position based in Riverville, Virginia.
What you'll do#
- Support electrical reliability assignments to improve mill safety and equipment performance.
- Assist with electrical equipment projects, including motors, lighting, valves, and sensors.
- Use AutoCAD to update drawings and create project documentation.
- Help process control engineers and technicians with troubleshooting and system audits.
- Collect and analyze process data to support business decision-making and reliability efforts.
- Coordinate with project engineers, contractors, and operations staff to support safe project execution.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or related degree program.
- Completion of at least your freshman year.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0.
- Must be a permanent U.S. resident with a valid driver's license.
- Membership in the paper foundation at specified universities is preferred.
