About the role#
As a Software Engineer Intern on the Defense Tech team, you will contribute code to our Gotham product. You will work on software that supports mission partners by helping them integrate data and build tools for resource allocation and analysis. You will be part of a small team and will work with a mentor to guide your development throughout the internship.
What you'll do#
- Deliver defense capabilities to mission partners.
- Participate in the full product lifecycle, including design, prototyping, and shipping code.
- Collaborate with technical and non-technical colleagues to solve customer problems.
- Build software at scale to improve how organizations manage and use their data.
What you'll need#
- An engineering background in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Software Engineering.
- Graduation date in 2028.
- Experience coding in languages such as Java, C++, Python, or JavaScript.
- Familiarity with data structures, storage systems, cloud infrastructure, and front-end frameworks.
- An active US Security clearance, or the eligibility and willingness to obtain one before the start date.

- This role is based on-site in Washington, District of Columbia.
- This is a full-time, paid internship.
- The internship term follows a rolling schedule.
