About the role#
This is a part-time, non-exempt position based in Midland, Texas. You will work under close supervision to perform routine tasks that require an understanding of fundamental engineering, mathematical, and construction concepts. You will support project teams, engineers, and the CADD supervisor with the preparation of design sketches, permit applications, and graphic materials.
What you'll do#
- Assist with construction phase services under the direction of a project engineer.
- Check engineering calculations and perform basic design calculations.
- Complete project tasks such as quantity takeoffs and cost estimates.
- Help prepare marketing proposals.
- Collect field data and test samples.
- Maintain the technical library and handle routine document filing and delivery.
- Use computers, computer aided design, and other relevant software tools to complete assignments.
What you'll need#
- Current student status in Civil Engineering or a related discipline at an accredited college or university.
- Proficiency in computer aided design and standard office software.
