About the role#
This is a part-time, hourly position for a Civil Engineering student. You will work under close supervision to complete routine tasks that rely on fundamental engineering, mathematical, and construction concepts. You will support engineers, the CADD supervisor, and project teams by preparing graphic materials, design sketches, study materials, and permit applications.
What you'll do#
- Assist with construction phase services as directed by the project engineer.
- Check engineering calculations and perform basic design calculations.
- Complete project tasks like quantity takeoffs and cost estimates.
- Collect field data and test samples.
- Prepare marketing proposals.
- Maintain the technical library and handle routine document filing and delivery.
- Use computers, CADD software, and other relevant technical tools.
- Take on other duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Current student status in Civil Engineering or a related discipline at an accredited college or university.
- Proficiency with computer-aided design software and general computer hardware.
