About the role#
This is a part-time, hourly position for a Civil Engineering student. You will work under close supervision to perform routine tasks that require a grasp of fundamental engineering, construction, and mathematical concepts. You will support project teams, engineers, and supervisors with design sketches, permit applications, and graphic materials.
What you'll do#
- Assist with construction phase services under the direction of a project engineer.
- Check engineering calculations and perform basic design calculations.
- Complete project tasks like quantity takeoffs and cost estimates.
- Help prepare marketing proposals.
- Collect field data and test samples.
- Maintain the technical library and handle routine document filing and delivery.
- Use computer aided design software and other hardware tools.
What you'll need#
- Current student status in Civil Engineering or a related discipline at an accredited college or university.
- Proficiency with computers and relevant software tools.
