About the role#
This is a part-time, hourly position for a Civil Engineering student. You will work under close supervision to complete routine tasks that require a basic understanding of engineering, math, and construction concepts. You will support our engineers and project teams with design sketches, permit applications, and graphic materials.
What you'll do#
- Assist with construction phase services under the direction of a project engineer.
- Help check engineering calculations.
- Perform project tasks including quantity takeoffs, cost estimates, and design calculations.
- Help prepare marketing proposals.
- Collect field data and test samples.
- Maintain the technical library.
- Handle routine document filing and delivery.
- Use computer aided design software and other technical tools.
- Take on other assigned duties as needed.
What you'll need#
- Current student status in Civil Engineering or a related discipline at an accredited college or university.
- Proficiency with computers and relevant software tools.
