About the role#
Parkhill is hiring a Civil Engineering Student for the Site Development and Planning team in Norman, Oklahoma. This is a part-time, non-exempt, hourly position. You will work under close supervision to perform routine tasks that require a basic understanding of engineering, mathematics, and construction concepts.
What you'll do#
- Support project engineers and teams by preparing design sketches, graphic materials, and permit applications.
- Assist with construction phase services as directed.
- Check engineering calculations and perform fundamental tasks like quantity takeoffs and cost estimates.
- Collect field data and test samples.
- Prepare marketing proposals and maintain the technical library.
- Handle routine document filing and delivery.
- Use computers and computer aided design software to complete project tasks.
- Take on other duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Current student status in Civil Engineering or a related discipline at an accredited college or university.
- Proficiency with computers and relevant engineering software.
