About the role#
The Student Finance Officer works at the Houston campus to help students manage their financial assistance. You will provide financial counseling, handle aid packaging, and ensure compliance with federal and state guidelines. This is a full-time, on-site position.
What you'll do#
- Interview prospective and current students to assess financial needs and determine aid eligibility.
- Help students and families complete FAFSA applications, verification worksheets, and loan documents.
- Create and manage private-pay plans for students with out-of-pocket tuition balances.
- Audit student files before start dates to confirm that all award letters and eligibility documents are complete.
- Enter and update financial aid data in the student information system, including packaging dates and disbursements.
- Coordinate with the admissions team regarding student appointments.
What you'll need#
- 1 to 3 years of experience in financial aid, student accounts, banking, or customer service.
- Eligibility to maintain unencumbered access to U.S. Department of Education systems including NSLDS, COD, and FSA.
- Functional knowledge of Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, video-conferencing tools, and database management software.
- An Associate or Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution is preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.

- Compensation: $20.80 to $24.96 per hour.
