About the role#
As an International Tax Services Intern at Plante Moran, you will work alongside our professional staff to provide tax and consulting services. This role offers exposure to both tax and consulting service lines, allowing you to develop your skills through hands-on experience. You will be treated as a member of our team, contributing to client projects and interacting with engagement teams.
What you'll do#
- Provide international tax consulting services for businesses involved in inbound and outbound cross-border activities.
- Assist individuals working in the United States and foreign countries with their tax needs.
- Prepare and review global tax return compliance for U.S. companies.
- Interact with the tax engagement team as part of client entrenchment.
- Research tax developments that may affect client businesses at both local and global levels.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program with an emphasis in accounting, or a Master's degree in accounting or tax, or an LLM.
- Completion of the first two entry-level accounting courses and current enrollment in at least the first intermediate level accounting course.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
- Status as a detail-oriented leader with strong problem solving, communication, and analytical skills.
- Progress toward completing the necessary degree and credits to sit for the CPA exam, with the intent of obtaining your license.
