About the role#
This is a full-time Industrial Engineer Intern position for the Summer 2027 term. You will work on-site at our Tucson, Arizona facility. This role involves direct support of manufacturing activities and requires time spent in and around factory areas.
What you'll do#
- Identify throughput constraints using capacity, simulation, and what-if scenario analysis.
- Drive factory improvement project priorities using analytical tools.
- Coordinate factory capability needs for yield improvements and new technology.
- Identify and participate in projects to support constraint elimination.
- Apply Six Sigma and Lean principles, including value stream maps, line balancing, and error proofing.
- Support manufacturing objectives for cost, quality, on-time delivery, and safety.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in Industrial or Systems Engineering.
- Actively enrolled through the completion of the internship.
- Minimum of 60 hours of credit by the start of the internship.
- Experience with Industrial Engineering processes, tools, and Microsoft Office.
- U.S. citizenship is required.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance.
- Preferred: Prior RTX internship or work experience, experience in a defense manufacturing environment, or experience with the RTX CORE Operating System.
