About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience within the credit analyst and lending teams. You will gain insight into the banking industry through formal training and daily work activities. The program focuses on how various bank departments, such as Treasury Management and Private Banking, work together to serve customers.
What you'll do#
- Shadow Loan Officers and Credit Analysts to learn daily operations.
- Attend loan committee meetings to observe the loan approval process.
- Analyze financial data based on your experience level and ask questions to help with loan underwriting.
- Research industries to understand the bank's target customer profile and prepare prospect materials.
- Network with leaders in the lending division and meet with product partners to learn about client services.
- Review loan set-up worksheets and assist in preparing loan packages.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a four-year, accredited college or university.
- A major or concentration in Finance or Accounting is preferred.
- Good standing at your college or university.
- Eligibility to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.
- Strong PC skills, specifically with Microsoft Office word processing and spreadsheets.
- Good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Demonstrated teamwork and customer service abilities.
