About the role#
Project Solutions Inc. is hiring a Project Specialist Intern to join our team in Rapid City. You will work alongside project managers, executives, and engineers to support our ongoing projects. This role involves data analysis, schedule monitoring, and organizing information for contractors and agency partners. You will be expected to solve engineering problems using your education and judgment while knowing when to ask for assistance.
What you'll do#
- Prepare detailed project schedules and identify major milestones to manage project activities.
- Write and prepare technical engineering reports, plans, and specifications.
- Assist in establishing costs and producing professional, accurate quotations.
- Manage project hours to budgeted hours to ensure project profitability.
- Setup and facilitate online training software and workshops.
- Support inspection processes, coordinate project meetings, and track project performance.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelors or Masters degree in Construction Management, Civil, Mechanical, Structural, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a solid mathematical aptitude.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to interpret sketches, drawings, and plans.
- Strong technical and social skills, with the ability to work independently and collaborate with diverse groups.
