About the role#
The Surgical Technologist Student Resident position is designed for students currently enrolled in a surgical technology program who have not yet completed their studies. You will gain hands-on experience in a surgical setting while working under the delegation of a licensed health care practitioner and a staff Surgical Technologist preceptor. This role is educational, and you will not function independently.
What you'll do#
- Perform tasks in the surgical setting under the delegation of authority of a licensed health care practitioner.
- Function as a clinical student during your program clinical experience.
- Adhere to the primary duties outlined in WAC 246-939-030.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a CAAHEP or ABHES accredited surgical technology program.
- Completion of program-specific lab skill checkoffs.
- Washington Surgical Technologist Registration upon hire.
