About the role#
The Nursing Assistant Student role is an educational position focused on learning basic elder care skills through a state-approved Nurse Aide Training Program. You will work at Providence Seward Mountain Haven to support dining, housekeeping, and non-essential nursing functions during peak hours. This position involves direct interaction with elders, their families, and staff members.
What you'll do#
- Maintain a clean environment within the Lodge.
- Transport elders as needed.
- Assist with meal preparation and set-up.
- Provide meaningful activities for elders.
- Act as an elder companion to ensure safety when direct observation is required.
What you'll need#
- Six months of experience as a nursing aid, nursing assistant, or personal care attendant.
- Completion of the Green House Philosophy of Care training within four months of your start date.
- National Provider BLS certification from the American Heart Association within 30 days of hire.

- The role is full-time and on-site.
