About the role#
As an Investment Intern, you will join the team responsible for managing approximately $65 billion in assets for Missouri’s public education employees. You will work directly with the Chief Financial Officer, the Investment Operations Manager, and Senior Portfolio Managers. This position provides exposure to public equity, private credit, real estate, and hedged strategies within a structured environment.
What you'll do#
- Support analytical and operational activities for the investment program.
- Conduct investment research across multiple asset classes.
- Perform data analysis and generate reports.
- Assist with special projects to support daily operations.
- Prepare clear reports and presentations for the team.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in finance, business administration, accounting, economics, or a related field.
- A solid understanding of finance and investment concepts.
- Familiarity with financial analysis methods.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- A desire to earn the Charter Financial Analyst (CFA) designation is preferred.

- This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027.
- The role is based on-site at our headquarters in Jefferson City, Missouri.
- Compensation is $25.00 per hour.
