About the role#
As a Capital Markets & Accounting Advisory Services (CMAAS) intern, you will work with clients to navigate complex financial transactions and accounting standards. You will join our Advisory practice to support teams with transaction readiness and regulatory requirements. This role offers exposure to professional work environments where you can develop your skills and professional brand.
What you'll do#
- Support teams in the execution of capital markets transactions and financial reporting.
- Prepare carve-out financial statements and assist with merger accounting.
- Analyze deal structures and organization restructuring efforts.
- Prepare regulatory reporting and documentation for revenue recognition.
- Observe and assist in the preparation for Initial Public Offerings and private equity transactions.
- Apply Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) to financial accounting tasks.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing or have completed a Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
- You must meet the educational requirements to sit for the CPA exam before starting full-time.
- Typically in your 3rd year of a 4-year degree or 4th year of a 5-year program.
- Preferred cumulative GPA of 3.3 and a preferred major GPA of 3.3.
