About the role#
We are looking for a motivated IT Support Intern to join our team in Boston. You will serve as the first point of contact for technical support, ensuring that our hardware, software, and network systems run effectively. This role offers hands-on experience in a technology-driven environment where you will develop your troubleshooting and communication skills.
What you'll do#
- Provide timely support by resolving user tickets regarding hardware and software issues.
- Assist users with installing applications, configuring systems, and setting up peripherals like printers and scanners.
- Diagnose technical issues by asking targeted questions to identify root causes.
- Guide users through solutions with clear, step-by-step instructions.
- Perform remote troubleshooting and escalate issues when necessary.
- Document technical issues, resolutions, and processes in internal systems.
- Assist in the daily operation and maintenance of facility systems and office spaces.
- Support facility inspections and track maintenance requests, work orders, and asset records.
- Coordinate with vendors to ensure timely completion of maintenance activities.
What you'll need#
- A Bachelor’s degree or current enrollment in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Business Administration.
- 1 to 2 years of experience in IT support, desktop support, or a similar role.
- Familiarity with Windows, Linux, or Mac OS environments.
- A basic understanding of network security practices and antivirus tools.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- A proactive, customer-first mindset.
