About the role#
This internship focuses on the development of hybrid-electric propulsion technology. You will join the NSE team to support the design and integration of engine systems aimed at improving aircraft efficiency and reducing fuel consumption and CO2 emissions. This is a full-time, paid position for the Winter 2027 term.
What you'll do#
- Support the definition of engine interfaces with aircraft components.
- Evaluate the installation of the hybrid-electric engine within the nacelle.
- Document and maintain installation and removal procedures as engine designs evolve.
- Identify clearance issues and assess access requirements for assembly and disassembly tasks.
- Support weight management for various packages installed on the aircraft.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Canadian university throughout the internship.
- Eligibility to work in Canada.
- Ability to work on-site full-time.
- Strong communication skills in both French and English (spoken and written).
- Proficiency in English to read and understand specialized technical instructions, plans, drawings, and terminology.
- Pursuing a degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Computer Engineering.

- Location: Longueuil, Quebec, Canada.
- Term: January 5 to April 23, 2027.
- Modality: On-site, Monday to Friday.
- Note: The successful candidate must pass a criminal background check and obtain all necessary authorizations for handling controlled goods.
