About the role#
This co-op position focuses on systems engineering for the KC-135 platform. You will work on-site in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, during the winter or summer of 2027. This is a full-time, paid role. Please note that U.S. citizenship is required for this position.
What you'll do#
- Learn and apply KC-135 systems engineering processes.
- Capture, define, allocate, verify, and validate system requirements.
- Support system tests in a lab environment, including both formal and informal events.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement new features for the aircraft.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Advanced degree program in Computer, Electrical, or Aerospace Engineering, continuing through the end of your session.
- Ability to work on-site in Cedar Rapids for test events and environment updates.
- Understanding of data buses and protocols, specifically Ethernet, MIL-STD-1553B, and ARINC-429.
- Experience with avionics systems, including testing and troubleshooting on civil or military aircraft.
- Familiarity with engineering tools such as TNT, DOORS/JAMA, JIRA, PREP, Microsoft, and SVN.
- Experience working in a Scaled Agile environment using Jira tracking.
