About the role#
As a Mission Analyst Intern, you will join a team of systems engineers focused on modeling, simulation, and analysis. Your work helps demonstrate the mission effectiveness of systems operating in complex threat environments. You will contribute to projects that inform programmatic decisions through analytic approaches.
What you'll do#
- Develop and implement model-based solutions to support mission trade studies.
- Create and integrate variable-fidelity computer models and simulations.
- Model system and mission kill chains using Government, Commercial, or Raytheon simulation tools.
- Execute mission system simulations and analyze the results.
- Develop metrics and products to communicate the chain of events leading to specific actions.
- Collaborate in a team environment to provide data that informs program decisions.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Advanced degree program in STEM (Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, or Engineering).
- Completion of at least 30 credit hours by the start of the internship.
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or MATLAB.
- Ability to obtain a security clearance.
- U.S. citizenship.
Preferred qualifications include:
- Prior internship, co-op, or work experience.
- Experience working in Linux environments.
- Familiarity with government modeling tools like AFSIM, Suppressor, or Brawler.
- Knowledge of sensors, network communications, weapons, or command and control systems.
- Experience with military operations analysis, data visualization, or statistics.
- Familiarity with numerical optimization, analysis of alternatives, or design of experiments.
- An active Secret Clearance.
